Band Camp
Wow...things have been so incredibly busy and tiring lately that I haven't had a chance to post.

Band Camp has been amazing. We've already set two whole songs! That's just unbelievable. We've definitely been working so much harder than in previous years and it's getting us far. I'm in love with Bugle Boy...it's my fave out of all the songs so far.

Diana and Miranda are doing so great. I love them to death. It's a shame we only have one year to spend with each other though.

The majorettes as a section continually amaze me. We look so good and we just keep getting better. I can't wait until we get to show off our cool routines.

Being a captain has definitely had it's trying moments already. I love being able to help the girls but it's really frustrating when it feels like none of your ideas are ever taken into consideration. But I guess it's something you just can't control.

My allergies are really starting to kick in again because of practicing on the grass field...I feel so congested. I felt so sick last night though...so I crashed and slept for 11 hours. That felt amazing.

The spirit days for seniors this week rocked. Everyone participated in my group which was so great.

Today I took Diana and Miranda out to get their weaves for majorette. HAHA!! Who knew going out to Sally's and Wal*mart could be so fun? We took three of the little stoppers from Sally's, ripped open so many packages of hairnets at Wal*mart, saw some crazy physco girl that had a black dress with a gold sequin belt there, and followed some freak in a van. HAHA!! I love you girls!

Then I went to work from 3:30-7:30. I felt so out of sync since I haven't worked since Saturday. I work again tomorrow but we might be short since Barry's calling off. I hope Anth will work a double shift, even though I doubt he wants to. I somehow have to get a hold of him before 3:30 tomorrow.

Next week looks like this:
Monday-Band Camp
Tuesday-Band Camp
Wednesday-Band Camp/Redstone Parade
Thursday-Practice/Spaghetti Dinner/Pep Rally
Friday-Practice/Hempfield Football Game
Saturday-Kennywood Parade
Sunday-Work

And then school starts! EW! And I have yet to do Lenzi's assignment. What a joke.

So Beat
I am so tired. I haven't felt this exhausted in a long time...I think it's mostly work that's doing it to me though.

We were short at work today, so I kind of had to work not only my job, but bits and pieces of other jobs too. Barry helped me out so much though. I love working with him and Edith. I felt bad that Barry was called in to work during lunch too and the fact that we were short was slowing us all down. We got out of there a little later than usual, but we did alright.

TJ just quit since he broke up with his nurse girlfriend...what a great reason to quit. I guess St. Anne's is still hiring, and we could use someone on a 15 position, bad.

I figured out Jacob's riddle. Anyone else want to try it? "What makes the desert beautiful?" Leave me a comment if you think you know.

My mom called me from Chicago today and she sounds like she's having so much fun. She can't stop talking about the city, and I bet it's breathtaking. They come home tomorrow afternoon.

I feel so out of it today, like I'm not actually here. Maybe it's just because I'm tired...who knows.

I love band...so much, and every time I think about band camp, I can't help but smile

School's starting way too soon and that means it's time for a blowout. We seriously need to get everyone together and have a party before we're back at the high school.

But, it's getting late and I'm sick of thinking about all I have to do before school starts. I still have Lenzi's articles to write. What kind of teacher assigns homework over summer break? Can he seriously grade it? I'll wind up doing it anyway since I don't want it to hurt my grade, but I don't see how he can do that to us. Chicago is my only motivation to get along with him this year...for the most part I can, but when he pulls crap like that I just want to scream.

Anyway, good night.

Mini-Band Camp
Mini-band camp is officially over. I'm never going to participate in this again...I never get to break in newbies anymore, my days of calling out commands are numbered, and things are moving so fast that I'm scared this year's going to fly.

Everyone is amazing me though, seriously, we haven't been able to pick up on marching basics this well as a group until now. We look good and we feel good...everyone's positive and excited which makes things work out so much more wonderfully.

This week has been so much fun teaching the new girls commands and just marching in general. I'm going to miss this so much when it's over.

I've really sucked at drill down lately though! I only beat Jacob once, and we have a bet going that whoever gets out before the other owes a $1 to that person. I've beat Jacob once, but Jacob's beat me twice, so I'm in debt. I have to win again so things are at least even. I usually make it so far in drill downs but for some reason my mind hasn't been in it so far. I'll do better once we're in the grass instead of the slant-a-lot.

Our routines are coming along so well. Sing Sing Sing is for the most part done, and Darla's bringing back her old school routine for us to use to Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy. That should so be our feature song and I can tell already that it's going to be my fave. The routine's so dancy...I absolutely love it.

Anthony's working on an amazing salute...some possible swings could be in it which is so exciting. "Hup, hup, ready, go" haha Anth..we're so saying that together.

I can't wait for next week to start since actual Band Camp is almost here. YAY! I can't wait to start setting drill to these songs...our first football game is in 2 weeks! That's it! It's amazing to think of how much we cram in before then.

Our Drum Majors are doing such a great job so far. I'm definitely impressed with everyone

I worked tonight as well as every other day this week except Tuesday. I did get payed though and my paycheck was $200.38...I was happy.

I got to work with Anth tonight, which is always fun since we can't help but laugh the entire time.

I work tomorrow and Sunday, but then I'm off the entire week for band. I'm so glad since there's so much going on this week.

Damico, Anth, and I are all going out Monday night. I can hardly wait

I have yet to find out if my schedule has been fixed and there's a lot of college stuff I need to do. I did schedule a visit to Point Park University though in September. Just one more SAT test and another ACT test and I'm done...finally.

My parents are in Chicago until Sunday, so my brother and I have had the house to ourselves. It's nice, but I wish I could have gone to Chicago with them. I envy the fact that they're in the city...I bet the skyscrapers are amazing.

Monday and every day following will be so great...I can't even describe how excited I am.

I finally heard me and Damico's theme song on the way home from work...I HATE MYSELF FOR LOVING YOU! lol too good...and soooo true.

Well, I'm tired and my eyes burn, so I'm going to bed. Yay for sleeping in tomorrow.

What Now...
Oh, I've messed up...I've messed up big time.

Didn't I swear to myself that I wouldn't let this happen?

I think all I'm doing anymore is overanalyzing EVERYTHING; my mind won't stop racing. I swear I'm searching for any way out. I can't stop running away, or rather, hiding.

MAKE IT STOP...I can't do this at all.
